The Uganda Netball team that will travel to the United Kingdom for the prestigious Vitality Netball Nations Cup has been outed by head coach Fred Mugerwa.

The She Cranes will face off with four of the world’s leading netball nations across the weekends of 20-21 and 27-28 January 2026 as part of an incredible showcase of international netball.

They invited by England, along with powerhouses Australia and New Zealand, for the Netball Nations Cup.

On the 12-lady list seen by Agookya Media, like it was in the 2025 Netball World Cup, Irene Eyaru will captain the Fred Mugerwa-coached side.

The team includes shooter Shannel Junior, who features for England’s Loughborough in the Netball Super League.

The other are; Lillian Achola, Margaret Baagala, Florence Adunia, Mercy Batamuliza, Haniisha Muhameed Nakaate, Falidah Kadondi, Sandrah Ruth Nambirige, Christine Namulumba Kango, Shadiah Nassanga Ssegujja and Sarah Nakiyunga.

Meanwhile, the first two days of the tournament will be played at the prestigious OVO Arena Wembley in the United Kingdom.

Matches will then move to the First Direct Arena, marking the first time that international netball has been held in Leeds.

The Australian Diamonds and the New Zealand Silver Ferns remain on top of the world rankings, with England currently placed in third, whilst Uganda recorded their best-ever finish at a World Cup with a fifth place.
