Kabowa Youth overcame rivals AS Katwe 2-0 during the semi-final of the 2025 Heroes cup at the Kampala Pele stadium on Tuesday, 28th January 2014.
Following a goal-less opening 45 minutes, Mwakwe lit up the match with a well struck penalty in the 58th minute under rainy conditions.
Substitute Ramadhan Niyibizi got the second goal with twenty minutes to play.
Victory means that Kabowa Youth qualifies to the final.
The final will now be played between Kabowa Youth and Allan Kateregga’s Police on 1st February 2014 (Heroes Day) at the Amahoro national stadium in Kampala city.
Police ejected Rayon Sports 3-1 in post-match penalties after normal time had ended 1-all.
