Mwakwe Rashid has been named the Young Player of the Tournament at Rubaga Talent search campaign organized by Mbaziira Musa.
Kabowa Youth Academy secured their second straight division crown following a penalty shootout on Sunday after the two sides could not be separated in normal time. Mwakwe Rashid stepped up to take the deciding penalty and fired home to ensure Kabowa Youth Academy defended their title.
Mwakwe — who has been Kabowa Youth’s breakout star of the tournament — scored a vital equaliser in their quarterfinal against Kampala United to take that game to an eventual penalty-shootout win.
