Last evening at the National Unity Platform Headquarters, we were delighted to host our fasting Muslim brothers and sisters for Iftar dinner. We prayed and broke the fast together. It is always a blessing to do this every year, in solidarity with those who profess the Islamic faith. While appreciating them, I implored Muslims across the country to get much more involved in the struggle for a better country, knowing how much persecution they have endured under the present regime. All those who have been detained at CMI and other torture chambers come telling us that there are countless Muslims stuck in those places – some for as long as twenty years. We shall only be free when all of us are free. Wishing you all blessings in the remaining days of this holy month of Ramadan.
