The Speaker of the National Assembly Rt Hon. Annet Anitah Among, has denied the allegations of a plot to assassinate the Rt hon Joel Ssenyonyi.

The move comes after Iganga MP Peter Mugema told parliament on Wednesday that they should look into the alleged assassination of MP Ssenyonyi.

On Tuesday, Ssenyonyi told reporters at the party headquarters in Kamwokya that he had received death threats for exposing corruption in various departments under the guise of accident but vowed not to give up.

Speaker Among denied the allegations and asked MP Ssenyonyi to inform the police if he is sure that his life is in danger as he does not see any motive or need to kill any MP.

Joel Ssenyonyi has been in the spotlight recently after exposing corruption in the Uganda Airlines and Civil Aviation Authority when he was the Chairman of the COSASE Committee.
