The Minister of Defence, Hon. Anthony Wamala has met with the officers of the Kabaka, the Kingdom and the various Buganda Places.
Minister Wamala urged the Kabaka Protection Unit (KPU) to follow all the plans of the Kingdom to ensure security in the Kingdom.
The Hon. Wamala, stressed that the main responsibility of these officers is to ensure the security of the King and the Kingdom as a whole, which they can accomplish by following all the plans of the Kingdom.
The Kabaka Protection Unit is responsible for protecting the King wherever he is, his Palace, the Children of the King as directed by the King, the Queen, the Katikkiro, the Bulange Palace in Mengo and other places of importance. The army also liteeks security wherever Royal ceremonies are held as long as they are attended by Royal Personnel.
